David Goldes is a McKnight and Bush award-winning photographer whose work is at the intersection of art and science. His black and white photographs favor a studio environment. He’s interested in things you wouldn’t just happen upon, like a grid of matches, objects fashioned out of metallic mesh, or simple machines fossilized in clay. He’s got an MA from Harvard in molecular genetics. Even though his work includes scientific practice, it goes beyond science and is about memory and perception.
