From the Twin Cities Tibetan community to her grandparents’ love story to life on a rural organic dairy farm, Keri Pickett has chronicled a fascinating array of Minnesota stories in her twenty-five year photography career. The beauty of photography, according to Pickett, is that “it takes a snapshot in time and gives you an eternity to think about it.” The author of three books and the recipient of grants from the National Endowment for the Arts, the Minnesota State Arts Board, the Bush, McKnight, Jerome and Target Foundations, Pickett has recently taken up documentary filmmaking as well.
